ECOCERT - COSMOS NATURAL
International natural cosmetics certification

It is very important to us to offer certified natural cosmetics. We explain below what the COSMOS certification is all about.

Certified natural cosmetics according to COSMOS - what does this mean for our cosmetics?
In many respects, the COSMOS standard is similar to the criteria of well-known natural cosmetics labels. This includes, for example, that only certain manufacturing processes are permitted for raw materials.

However, the COSMOS standard goes further and also evaluates the manufacturing process and packaging materials for sustainability criteria. Therefore, this certification is very important to us. As is common with many natural cosmetics labels, COSMOS distinguishes between

- Natural cosmetics (COSMOS NATURAL) and
- Organic cosmetics (COSMOS ORGANIC).

Appellation d'Origine Monoi de Tahiti

MONOÏ DE TAHITI - APPELLATION D'ORIGINE
Designation of origin

Monoï de Tahiti is the first cosmetic product to receive a designation of origin. This label certifies the quality of its manufacture, the selection and Polynesian origin of its ingredients.

"Appellation d'Origine" - Rules of use

The exceptional characteristics of Monoï de Tahiti were officially recognized in April 1992 by the Denomination of Origin and became a guarantee of authenticity and quality. This distinction is limited to products produced in French Polynesia according to local and constantly verified manufacturing processes: Gardenia tahitensis (flower of Polynesia, also called Tiare Tahiti) is soaked in refined coconut oil. The guarantee resulting from this initiative has helped to ensure that today 90% of monoï comply with current legislation.
The label of the product must indicate the percentage of Monoï de Tahiti and be stamped with the "Appellation d'Origine" (stamp of guaranteed origin) - which is of course the case with us.

DERMATEST_Seal_DermatestGarantie Anakena

SEAL "DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED

For the face cream Anakena, the body lotion and the shower gel skin & hair, an epicutaneous test was carried out at the company Dermatest GmbH in Münster.

The epicutaneous test - also called patch test - is used to find out whether a cosmetic product triggers a skin reaction. Thus, in addition to evaluating the ingredients, one gets a tolerability assessment of the final product. Every cosmetic product must also have a safety evaluation, and many safety evaluators require an epicutaneous test to be included in the evaluation. Thus, the epicutaneous test is a safeguard for manufacturers and a compatibility test for customers.

The epituncan test is therefore the detection of a primary irritant effect or a contact allergy (by provoking allergic skin reactions in already sensitized probands). Our products have received the award "very good". For more information please follow the link..: http://dermatest.de/leistungen/epikutantestungen
